Congrats new blue belt Gabe!

May 27th, our team mate for long time, Gabe was promoted to blue belt! Tradition is tradition, WHIPPING is inevitable!!

Pan Asian @ Manila 10th & 11th May

On 10th May, our team mates, Sindy and Rei 'the sexy beast' Yamamoto competed in Pan Asian (Gi day). Sindy took the bronze in her division with good submission in her first fight.

Season for tournaments is coming, hope more and more team mates will compete in tournaments and have fun. (REMEMBER COPA DE HK IS COMING IN AUGUST!!)

AND, just a reminder:

Starting from this week, evey Saturday and Sunday from 15:30-18:00, competition class by Mathew will be on. If you wanna get ready for up coming tournaments, please come and train hard (with your own vomit bags)!

On Monday (5th May), our guest, Professor Thiago Santos from Checkmat China (Beijing) taught the night class with showing 3 techniques: 1) Armlock from bottom of double under, 2) Take back from top of double under and 3) de la riva to sweep and armbar.

Good to have guest sharing techniques with us which is always an OSSOME experience.

Ikuta san's seminar @ TST gym and Taiwai gym

On 15th and 16th last week, Makoto Ikuta san from Trust BJJ Japan came to Hongkong for seminar in Kowloon BJJ. Our old friend Ikuta san has shown his own style of techniques and did a team fighting at the end of each seminar night.

We had a good time in the fights and the seminar. Hope we can see Ikuta san and roll with him again soon! Oss!

Ikuta san seminar (15th & 16th April, 2014)

Next week, (15-16th April, 2014) our old friend, Ikuta san (Makoto Ikuta) will come to Hong Kong for seminar. 15th Apr (Tue) will be in Taiwai gym and 16th Apr (Wed) will be in Tsim Sha Tsui gym.

Choose the time your are more convenient, then come to learn and roll with Ikuta san! It is always amazing to learn different style of Jiu jitsu!

BBQ party for Kuwa san

On 6th April, we organized a BBQ party in Sai Kung for Kuwa san. Kuwa san will go back to Japan at the end of this month, it was supposed to be a farewell party but we hope Kuwa san will be back to Kowloon BJJ very soon. Please come more often to Kuwa san's classes this month!! Oss!!

Although it had been rainy for whole day, it was still a good party!
